Ritz Kobayashi is the author and illustrator of the Japanese manga series Saki. The plot revolves around Saki Miyanaga, a first-year high school girl who is introduced to the competitive world of mahjong by another first-year, Nodoka Haramura. 

Since February 3, 2006, the manga has been serialized in Square Enix’s Young Gangan and is licensed in English by Yen Press. Gonzo’s 25-episode anime adaptation aired on TV Tokyo between April and September 2009.
