Kaiji Anime Plot

Kaiji is unemployed. Of course this was not what he expected when he decided to move to Tokyo after graduating from school. It worked for a while, but nothing lasted long.

This condition filled with uncertainty and no money must have made Kaiji feel depressed. His pastimes were wrecking expensive cars and gambling with his friends. However, one day, Kaiji is visited by an unexpected guest named Endo.

Endo reveals that his former co-worker, Furuhata, owes a debt to the mysterious company that employs Endo. The debt bears such huge interest that the total is almost touching 4 Million Yen.

The problem is, Furuhata has put Kaiji’s name as his guarantee if one day he disappears. Of course this amount is very large for a Kaiji who at that time did not have any income.

Therefore, Endo also makes an offer to Kaiji to take part in a gambling event held on a ship called Espoir. This is where Kaiji’s adventure in the world of gambling begins.

Kaiji Anime Characters

1. Kaiji Itou

Kaiji is the main character in both the manga and anime series of the same name. Though he began as a somewhat naive man, his first experience on the Espoir quickly transforms him into a clever and thoughtful gambler.

2. Kazutaka Hyodo

Kazutaka is a major recurring character in the Kaiji series, serving as the main antagonist. He has two sons, Kazuya Hyodo and Kazuki Hyodo, who are currently unknown.

In addition, he is also a single dad as his wife Sophie died prior to the start of the series.

He also appears in the Chuukan Kanriroku Tonegawa spinoff manga. Despite the fact that the series is about the Teiai Corporation, he is still the antagonist because he constantly causes Tonegawa stress with his unreasonable demands.

3. Kazuya Hyodo

Kazuya is Kazutaka Hyd’s and Sophie’s youngest son. He enjoys gambling just as much as his father does.

Despite being despised by almost everyone in Teiai, he works as a novelist and a high-ranking employee in his father’s company. In addition, he owns “Kazuya Corporation,” which specializes in disguising murders as suicides or construction accidents.

He appears as a secondary character in the Tobaku Datenroku Kaiji arc before becoming the main antagonist in Tobaku Datenroku Kaiji: Tobaku Datenroku Kaiji: Tobaku Datenroku Kaiji: Tobaku Datenroku Kaiji: Tobaku Datenroku Kaiji: Tobaku Datenroku Kaiji: Tobaku Datenroku Kaiji and Kazuya-Hen: One Poker Hen arcs

He is shown to be a tragic antagonist rather than a purely evil antagonist, in contrast to Hyd.

4. Yukio Tonegawa

Yukio was put in charge of the majority of Hyd’s events, acting as the man’s right hand. He is a powerful business magnate and the Teiai Corporation’s third highest ranking executive.

He was the one who funded Restricted Rock, Paper, Scissors, Electric Current, Steel Frame Crossing, E-Card, and, presumably, other games.

In the Tobaku Mokushiroku Kaiji arc, he is the second main antagonist. He is the main protagonist in a spinoff manga called Chuukan Kanriroku Tonegawa.

5. Mamoru Andou

Mamorou is a gentleman, obese man who forms an alliance with Kaiji and Furuhata after losing all of his gesture cards on the Espoir while playing Restricted Rock, Paper, Scissors.

Kaiji initially finds him in the Espoir’s restrooms and persuades him to join him and Furuhata in the gamble.Yup, that was a review of Kaiji anime. You can watch it when you have free time on a break from Slot online betting.
